October 2012: E=MC 2 (Engagement=Mobilizing Communities and Collaboration) 2012-2016. GAP-Santé leads a major interdisciplinary research initiative to help mobilize and improve community involvement in Canada. This collaborative project is a model of partnership in both the Facultis of Social Sciences and Education, with the Centre for Research on Educational and Community Services, the Centre on Governance, the University Centre for Global and Community Engagement, and GAP-Santé. The objective of this four-year applied research is to increase volunteering and giving in Canada.

December 2011: GAP-Santé is an official member of the Resilient Communities Working Group of the Canadian National Risk Reduction Platform for the U.N. International Strategy for Disaster Reduction.

June 2011: Best paper award of ICCRTS-Track2 on approches to "Developing collaboration in complex events: A model for civil-military inter-organizational problem-solving and decision-making" (Lemyre, Pinsent et al., 2011).
